MISSION STATEMENT and PHILOSOPHY of the CONTINUING EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
The Continuing Education Department mission is to provide quality continuing education to massage and/or bodyworkers and healthcare professionals to enhance and expand the skills, knowledge, and attitudes of practitioners providing services to the public and representing the healthcare profession. Participants are encouraged to embrace professional excellence and the Ethical Code of NCBTMB and Holistic Healing.
The department philosophy is to present an eclectic fusion of modern linear education and Socratic methods of instruction to develop awareness and proficiency beyond the practitioner’s current level of understanding and skill. Modern technology and Natural Healing Arts modalities are considered in each course. Eastern and Western concepts are approached respectfully as modern technology is continually confirming the ancient wisdom of the Orient and Native healing systems. Courses are designed to support the practitioners' need to improve competency and awareness of the growing concept of a Holistic approach to health and healing in today’s dynamic modern health model.
