Are You A Dog Lover?
Huffington Post claims that dogs are good for your health in their article "6 Reasons Why Owning A Dog Is Good For Your Health". Most of us here at The Healing Arts and Massage School tend to agree! Rescue dogs surround us in our homes as faculty and staff! Keith and Colleen's dog Macy, Olivia's dog Zeus, JJ's dogs Lilo & Quincy, Colleen Fuller's dogs Honey & Charlie, Sue's dog Penny and Susan's dog Turnip would all agree that being part of a forever home is good for their health!
Each year, for the past 18 years, SPCA of Wake County hosts a Dog Walk to raise funds for the animals in their care. It is always their biggest fundraiser. This year, The Healing Arts and Massage School created a team to join in the fun and help with the fundraising goal. Will you consider joining our team or supporting our fundraising efforts?
The Dog Walk and Woofstock takes place on Sunday May 6, 2018, 12 - 5 p.m. This is a rain or shine event. SPCA of Wake County Schedule of Events breaks down the day's activities. Look for The Healing Arts and Massage School's Sponsor tent where chair massage will be available with your donation.
Stay tuned, as The Healing Arts and Massage School will donate $5 from each student massage received during a particular week leading up to the walk. That's one way you can help; schedule a massage during that week (to be announced soon)! Another way you can help is to JOIN OUR TEAM! Don't want to join? Donate on our behalf!
Please consider joining as a walker or a virtual walker in this fun-filled day of activities. If you do not want to join our team, you may still donate; no amount is too small, as every dollar counts.
